Peter T. Bronsky, D.M.D., M.S.
Practicing orthodontics in his home area for over 25 years
Dr. Bronsky is a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry. While a Morehead Fellow, Dr. Bronsky completed his residency in Orthodontics and his Master of Science Degree in Anatomy at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill.
Dr Bronsky has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics since 1990, five years after completing his orthodontic residency.
Dr. Bronsky has been practicing orthodontics in his home community since 1985. In addition to clinical practice, Dr. Bronsky is affiliated with a research team studying normal and abnormal facial development in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of North Carolina. He lectures internationally and publishes regularly on topics related to his research.
Dr. Bronsky is an active member of the Angle Orthodontic Society, a group of academically oriented orthodontists who review cutting-edge orthodontic research. This is noteworthy because less than 5% of the orthodontists in the United States are invited to become members of this prestigious group.
Dr. Bronsky was selected as a Fellow in the American College of Dentists. The American College of Dentists was founded in 1920 to recognize dentists who have made significant contributions to the advancement of dentistry. The mission of the American College of Dentists is to promote excellence, ethics, and professionalism in dentistry. Fellowship in the college is by invitation and based on demonstrated leadership and contributions to the dental profession and society. Approximately 3.5% of dentists are Fellows of the American College of Dentists.
In addition, Dr. Bronsky is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, and was appointed as a National Consultant to the Council of Scientific Affairs for the American Dental Association (ADA). In addition he was chosen to be a member of the International New Product Advisory Board of a leading corporation that invents and manufactures orthodontic appliances.
Throughout his career, Dr. Bronsky has been an innovator of orthodontic appliances, which are customized for each patient based on his or her orthodontic needs. His expertise and clinical experience has resulted in state-of-the-art, individualized orthodontic diagnosis and treatment systems for both children and adults.
